Dunno y, most of my rememberable experiences happen in Delhi Metro itself. It was a sunny day and anyone would like to travel to and fro in the AC metro train until the ticket expires in 45 minutes. But I couldn't do that, I am an IITian after all, have some level !!!
It was a usual way back to roorkee until a group of three girls appeared out of nowhere on the Tilaknagar station. One of them, with a typical BANIYA physique, was for sure avoidable and by my fate she got a seat a distance away from me. The other two had to stand by the poles as their friend had not left enough of tolerance for them to fit in. Second of them was an ok ok gal with a nice middleclass personality. The 3rd one, the central character was perhaps the most beautiful face around. But i was not stuck at her, still searching someone else to beat her, but found none.
And to my utter surprise, i found the beautiful little lady staring at me with an innocent smile :) To be honest, the first thing i did then was checked my hairstyle and my face in the reflection from window panes of the train. After being assured of nothing wrong in my looks, i tried to avoid looking at her and turned about, showing no interest. After all LEVEL had to be maintained, but how long ?

Suddenly, a middle aged lady fell victim to sudden brakes and i found her on the floor the very next moment. Some of us comforted her to get up but the PHYSIQUE gal burst into a spontaneous smile(laughter) on the scene. Then wat, a professor like lady sitting next to her blasted into anger and gave a 10 min long lecture on manners towards elders, and in general ofcourse. The fatty dear had to leave the seat for the unstable aunty.
Meanwhile i was turned half way towards my heroine. Suddenly coming out of the event, i thought of her and started looking around. But she was not where i had left her ! My head bowed down out of frustration and "OH SHITTTT !!!!!". She was standing next to me with her head exactly half a feet down my shoulders !!! thanx to the hallabaloo out of the "Aunty falling" event :)
Worrying for the height problem, I found her still staring at me. I decided not to ignore this time, let her turn her eyes. But i couldn't believe, I couldn't bear her intensity even half a minute. The rest of the journey was spent in frequent eye contacts, but i couldn't dare anything. I did think a number of times, " Excuse me, something funny on my face" and "Excuse me, do you want anything ?" and "Hey gal want my cell number ?" and " Can i have your cell number ?" and "Do i know you?" and "I think we've met before" and bla bla bla.
But my mouth was responding to none of these signals. Finally, we got off on the Rajiv Chowk station. She, perhaps had a plan of going for movie or so. I took sometime to move out of her eyesight, still hoping any of my nerves to respond, but no gain. I was about to move down the escalater and gave a final look at her. She was still headed towards me, looking with some questioning eyes... and finally... i decided to finish this story in a sad ending. I couldn't talk to her, neither could she.
This remains my sweetest journey till date and may be remains forever. I don't know her name, nor her place. I don't know she was serious ya bas kaat rahi thi. But she has given me a moment to remember. thanx AJNABI. God Bless u.
